In the afternoon Sunita went to Akash’s room. His all roommates had returned. Everyone congratulated her. They said they from then they would call her ‘yettati’ Sunita responded that they should call her ‘chechi’. (Yettati means Bhabi or elder brother’s wife and Chechi means Didi).

Then Akash and Sunita sat together in that room only. The other boys said that they would leave to give them more freeness. Sunita replied that their presence in the room was not disturbing them. All they were friend of Akash and so for her also they were friends. The boys remain seated. Both Sunita and Akash were talking among themselves and lost. They could not realize when all other boys left the room. After sometime they had realized the room was empty then they caressed each other up to their hearts content. Sunita said for their marriage they need blessings from four persons. Among that they already received blessings of two person and then to wait for blessings from other two. Akash replied between the remaining two, with one there would not be any problem. He was worried about his mother.

From next day onwards in every morning they watched sunrise together. Sunita also used to chat with her friends. They use to dream for future and plan for life ahead. Akash used to return little earlier than his friends. His friends also allowed him little time to be alone with Sunita. Every evening Sunita used to wait for him in the canal bank. Akash used to meet her there and would return together. After returning home he used to become nude in front of Sunita and get freshened up. Sunita also never used to wear much dresses. When Akash used to come back from wash room she used to kiss her Siva lingam. Akash also used make her half nude and love as much as possible. They forgot to count the days and suddenly it was Friday night. Akash’s training was over.

On Saturday morning after watching sunrise they started walking though the canal bank. They went to their place of adventure. They sat at the spot where last time they were hiding in the jungle away from Rajan and Dibya. They sat together and started playing with each other. There was no end to their love game. Soon they became completely nude. Their dresses were scattered here and there. That day Akash explored Sunita’s body thoroughly. He inserted his tongue in her vagina and explored wherever his tongue could reached. Sunita also played a lot with his penis. Akash carried condoms with him. So they started making love in the wild. Sunita shouted uncontrollably during her orgasm. Akash also came very soon. He removed the condom and knotted it and then kept it aside. Both of them were damn tired and were lying side by side.

After some time it seemed to Akash that there was some whispers around. Then probably there was some faint sound of giggling. Akash got up and went towards the bush from where the sounds were coming. Then went inside on bush and pulled out two girls from it. By then they were Dibya and Latha. Both of they were laughing too much. Then Akash realized that he was nude. He covered his penis with his shirt. Sunita also put her cloth over her body and started shouting over her friends. They were giggling and replying. Sunita was getting angrier. They were talking in Malayalam which Akash was not able to follow. After some time when Sunita calmed down Akash asked her what was the matter.

Sunita started to reply with high pitched voice but Dibya stopped her and said, “I knew that you two would come here in the morning. Sunita told us that. I knew after reaching here you two would make love. Latha wanted to see your love game but could not dare to ask Sunita. And even if she had asked Sunita would never approved. So since morning we were following you. I guessed that you two would be sitting in this spot. Thus both of us watched you from behind that bush. We saw everything from your foreplay to the end of intercourse.”

Latha held her ears and sat on her knees in front of semi nude Akash and said, “I am sorry friend for such intrusion. However I was not able to control my curiosity to watch fucking. Please forgive me.”

Sunita was still angry and wanted to blast more. But Akash stopped her and said he was not angry.

Sunita – You are always happy to show your things to other girls so it’s natural that you would not be angry.

Akash – see I am not angry but your friend is very much angry.

Sunita – Why you are not angry?

Akash – They are kids dear and your friends. How come I get angry with your friends?

Sunita – they are my friends but they are not kids.

Akash – In fact you are also a kid only. Little matured kid. And they were not doing any this sin. What’s wrong if someone saw it? As the society would never accept this act to be performed in the open place, we have come here. If the lookers have no problem in seeing us nude what’s our problem.

Sunita – You may be right.

Akash – Only difference is for us which is love making, for your friend Latha that is mere fucking.

Latha – What is the difference between Love making and fucking! For me both are same activity.

Akash – You discuss that with your friends later on. However I am telling you there are differences.

Then all the three girls started giggling and talking again. Sunita calmed down finally. She told Akash that it was all right as they were her closest friends only. Then they sat together and chatted for some time. Latha asked something to Sunita in her language on what Sunita strongly said no. After some more pleading from Latha, Sunita said to Akash, “Latha wants to see your ‘that thing’.”

Akash – My ‘that thing’ is your property. It’s you to decide whether to show it to someone else or not.

Sunita (after some thought) – I am allowing Latha to see it but you should not want to see anything of Latha in return.

Akash – I have my Sunita with me, why should I want to see any other girl.
Sunita removed the shirt which was covering his penis. Akash sat complete nude in front of the girls. His manhood was hard due to their hot talks with three girls. Latha said that it was very big. Sunita told her that it can go even bigger. Then she started sucking his penis and it reached its marvelous beast state. Latha wanted to touch it. Sunita agreed. Latha held Akash’s rock hard penis in her hands and then tried to kiss it. At this state Sunita stopped her and said, “Looking is enough. I cannot allow you to kiss it.”

Latha also did no more pleading. Sunita sucked his penis for some more time. Then she started jerking that off. Very soon it spurted out its jism. Both the girls were happy and thanked Akash. Then both of them put on their dresses and came back by noon.

From Saturday afternoon to Sunday noon Sunita was glued to Akash. They talked and talked. They planned for future and every possible aspects of life. Only at night Sunita was with her mother. Finally it was the time of Akash’s departure. All the Akash’s roommates, Sunita’s parents, Meena, Latha, Dibya everyone were there to say good bye to Akash. Rajan took Akash to the railway station. Everyone was crying except Sunita. She said good bye with smile only. Once Akash went out of her vision she started crying. The whole night no one could stop her cry.

The days live no more in my gilded cage
Those days of mine of such hue and colour
Bondage of joy and woe, they endured not,
Those days of mine of such hue and colour
Lyrics of my heart, learn they would, I hoped
They flew away, leaving so much unsaid
Those days of mine of such hue and colour
I dream, as if they seek in what hope
Wandering around my broken cage
Those days of mine of such hue and colour
So many feelings, can they be futile
Are they all birds shaped by shadow
Across the azure did they bear nothing.

(This is the english translation of the song "Dinguli More Sonar Khacay railo na" by Rabindranath Thakur.)

Longing to See You

Sunita sat below the mahogany tree. After Akash left for Bangalore, that was her daily routine. On sitting below the tree she use to look at the infinite sky and used to think about her ‘SKY’, her Akash. She used to murmur with herself thinking about Akash. When she used to close her eyes she used to imagine Akash was sitting with her, his hand was playing on her belly. Akash was with her for a month only but it was like both of them were together for hundreds of years. Whenever her eyes were closed Akash was standing in front of her but as soon as she was opening her eyes Akash used to vanish. Whenever she saw someone was walking from the other end of the meadow she used to think Akash was coming. As soon as that person used to go somewhere else or she could see that it was someone else, her eyes used to get filled up with tears. She was thinking that the morning sun breaks all the barriers of darkness and illuminates the world. In her life also someday there would be sunrise. All the darkness would be wiped off by her Akash. On hearing the songs from some unknown birds she used to think that she has lost all the songs from her mind, but someday her Akash would come back and she would sing again. Her belly was thirty for Akash’s touch. Her full body used to feel like burning without him. Every morning she used to remain there till her mother would not take her in. She use to pray to Sun god, “its long time I have not seen Akash, please bring him to me only for once at least. Let me see his face, let me feel his presence, please Sun please.”

Once Sunita used to go inside her mother always needed to push her for completing all her work. However her mother was never angry on her. She was completely realizing the mental state of her daughter. Sunita had kept the book ‘Three Comrades’ from Akash. She used to sit with the book. She was not able to read a single word but she used to flip though the pages. Every page of the book was touched by Akash. She wanted to feel his touch through the pages of the book. As the book was very close to his heart, Sunita wanted to go to heart through the book. She used feel Akash talking about the love of Robert and Pat. She never used to go to the canal. Both her friends tried a lot but could not persuade Sunita to go out of her room.

After around ten days Sunita was little better mental state. She came out of the initial vacuum created by Akash. Still she used to sit under the mahogany tree during every sunrise. She used to pray to her sun god. After coming back she started helping her mother. Later on she used to go to the canal to chat with her friends but never used to speak much. She used to give small answers to her friend’s talk but never raised any discussion.

Once, Dibya and Rajan took her out for a walk. When she saw Rajan and Dibya were holding hands and walking she started feeling the absence of Akash. She was imagining Akash was holding her hand. Dibya wanted to take her to that jungle beside canal. Sunita did not agree to go there even, as that would remind her the moments they spent together. Dibya tried to remind her funny incidences of their childhood. But after giving a small dry smile Sunita became quite. The Rajan asked her to tell the story of ‘Three Comrades’.

Sunita’s face brightened with the glow of sun. Sunita requested to sit in some place. They sat in some clean place at the canal bank. She started to tell the story. While telling the story her face was glowing with joy. She was feeling the presence of Akash with him. She almost cried while telling about death of Lenz and at the end of the story. While she finished telling everyone was quiet. No one could spoke for few minutes. Then Dibya spoke, “You just think about Robert. He would never get back his love. Whereas, your Akash is with you only. He will come back to you. Why you are crying so much! If you compare your condition with that of Robert, then nothing has been happened in your life.”

Sunita exclaimed, “I know my Akash will come back, but when!”

After little pause, she said, “If he never comes back, if his parents does not allow him to come back! Then I will be a living dead.”

Both Rajan and Dibya consoled her that she was worrying without any reason. Whatever they had observed in Akash they have understood that he certainly would come back. Come anything he would never be able to live without Sunita. They sat there for some more time talking to each other and then went back home. After that day it became their routine to discuss about the story and Akash in every afternoon. During the time they talk about Three Comrades Sunita used to feel happy.

Dear friend this is called Love.

One day after returning from office Sunita’s father said that Akash called up. Within fraction of second Sunita’s face, eyes, expression of her whole body changed dramatically like Indrajal of magician PC Sorkar. She excitedly asked her father, “How is Akash? Did he asked about me? Has he forgotten me? Has he talked with his father or mother? Is he in good health?”

She was going to ask few more questions but her mother stopped her saying to have some patience. Sunita started weeping like a kid. Her father came forward and put his hand on her head and said, “Nothing to worry my dear, He is fine. He has written everything in letter to his parents. They also replied that they have good faith on Akash. Once he is back to home they will decide how the marriage can be arranged.”

Sunita asked, “Will he come to Palakkad?”

Her father said that he will be in Bangalore for one more month. Then he would go to Kolkata. After that all of them will come to Palakkad. That night Sunita slept peacefully.

Next morning Sunita bowed down in front of the sun. She said, “My dear sun god you are so good. You only know how much I love Akash. You were the only witness of blooming of our love. We used to love each other in front of you only. There is nothing hidden from you. And I have my complete trust on you that you would never disappoint us. You would never allow us to suffer.”

Then she bowed down again. After sometime she raised her head and saw that the sun was hiding behind a small cloud. Sunita exclaimed, “Are you angry on me?”
The sun came out for a moment and again went behind the cloud. Sunita cried, “Why are you angry on me?”

Again the sun came out and went behind the cloud. Sunita said, “Oh! I have understood. You are angry because I had doubt on you. I am holding my ears. I will never again lose faith on you. I know you are there for me and my Akash will certainly come back. I am giving my words to you that I will never cry again.”
The sun came out of the clouds and brightens all the places. Sunita smiled with joy. She finished her work with her mother and ran to her friends at the canal bank. She excitedly told everything to her friends. She was excited that the sun had talked with her. Dibya and Latha heard how she had talked with sun. Since that day they were talking about sun and Akash. They used to plan for her future. All the three friends used to dream together.

Dear friend this is called love.

The result of the 12th standard final examination was out. Sunita passed out in first division. Dibya and Latha passed with second division. Rajan took all the three girls to the best restaurant of that time in Palakkad, Hotel Casino. Only that hotel used to serve Bengali style fish cuisine. Certainly Sunita wanted to have one Bengali dish. They had taken Telapia fish in mustard sauce. Sunita requested the waiter to teach her that recipe. Rajan went to the hotel manager requested him to teach few Bengali dishes to Sunita. After explaining the reason and some persuasion the manager agreed to teach. Sunita and Dibya went to the hotel kitchen three days to learn three dishes. She had learned to cook, Fish in mustard sauce, Fish Kalia and Curd Fish.

Dear friend this is called love.

In one song great Rabindranath Thakur described love as full of pain asked why love is so painful. However if any poet knew about Sunita and her mental state he certainly would have written a reply for that song. He would have written, “My friend this is called love. Love is never painful. Separation may be painful but not love. It may be right that love is the cause of separation. However love can never be painful. It always gives us happiness and accomplishment.”
